Hi!
The name is Cen. Just before Christmas I bought a Freelander MK1 Facelift Commercial (06) on astronomical mileage - but with a FSH at LR in her first 6 years, however, with a few niggles - so Google became my friend.

Overjoyed to find Landyzone, and did a little dance (to myself) about all the helps on the forum...

Our vehicle has gone from being a works vehicle, to 2 private owners, to going back to a works vehicle, and much alteration and modification must be done once she's back in a good way so she can do the job for us.

One of the first things I noticed was, when I hit a hill on the motorway at 70 MPH, she lost power, regaining throttle control at around 60. Scary(ish) when overtaking!

Despite thinking she'd been serviced not so long ago, it was clear, the service wasn't a full one, and the little hidden filters in this BMW TD4 engine were totally a surprise (Which again, this forum assisted with prior to joining!)

The drive was much better after service, but still got to find the fix for the loss of power. No warning lights on the motorway, but managed to get a few last night when ragging the wagon on country lane / hills (Lower gear, high revs), so, the garage can take a look at that.

There's been a few suggestions on the fault here - but, I'm totally undecided.

Changed the wheels from alloy to steel, new tyres all round. Oh she looks good. Black in colour, in a couple of weeks, due to be fully marked up for the company.

Previously had a MK1 Petrol 1999 freelander. Head gasket went in Belarus. The chassis is still out there, at the side of the road. Never driven petrol since!
