hi all
right i know water and electric does not go together but when its stopped raining is it possible to weld with mig with rain droplets on bonnet.
just that ive been thinking what do garages do when u take motors in for welding work after driving in the rain. intresting to hear your replies to this. cheers

well with all the rain it very tempting to go out with me gear but i know water and electric not go together so i just got me thinking how do garges do it after driving in the rain when disco dripping thanks for repley tho

It's fine it wont hurt you at all. If you were arc welding with wet gloves and sitting on what your welding, you'll get a shock. Only that the same as one off a HT lead or a electric fence, it's funny to watch though.:D :D :D

You'll be fine. if you're worried stand on a couple of rubber mats. Leccytrickery always takes path of least resistance. and the heat of the arc will drive away any dampness. biggest prob will be water tuning to steam under the weld pool. and blowing holes in ya weld.

i like the ideas everyone :) but i think i wait for a dry day even tho i got a fair bit to do, but it aint half tempting as im missing the the landy (no mot) so useing bike at min cheers all for advise again.
