what size rivets did u use on the spitfires, just out of curiosity
, need to change my gas bottle for me tig, will pure argon be ok for use on me landy and also other applicants, or is there any better gas as an all rounder

Argon is the best but expensive...... gives a cleaner weld. but most use a 80-20 mix of argon/ co2 cleaner and gives better penetration.
If wanting cheap than co2 will work but more splatter.
I would use 80/20 mix........ But Doc will come along and say co2 pub gas

Probably not so bad if you have a boc account at work etc but for someone at home it ends up at like £50 a bottle from them! Or £25 if you go somewhere else where you bring and they fill
I'm happy enough with splatter anyway
