Weird mini-breakdown?

Was turning left onto a main road (slightly uphill) and my disco just died out of the blue. Started it back up a few times but it just died seconds later. Me and white van man (cheers mate!) push it round the corner. Started up a few secs later and fine all the way back.

It was parked up all week while I was in Ireland but I used it this morning and it was ok.

Nothing obviously loose or awol under the bonnet. Any ideas what could have caused it?

Cheers, I bought a new fuel filter but never put it on when I did the last service... doh!

Reckon the new filter and some redex will do the job?
