weird Hazard fault

hi guys after trawling the forum and using the guides im still stuck so hoping someone can help me out

ive got a G reg defender 110 and the indicators work correctly but the second i flick the hazards the indicators stop working and the hazards dont come on either, if i flick the switch the indicators work correctly.

i've gone thought he guide to short out the purple cable to illuminate the indicators and also to short and get the indicators working via the stick as well.
the one thing i've noticed is that there are a red and black cable to the battery and one black one is disconnected.

i'm kind of stuck now i've checkd all the fuses and they are all ok also all the cables seem to be intact.

Looking at the wiring diagram

Erm the black wire is the hazard switch earth

Just check at the hazard switch you have
Light Green/Brown.
Green/White
Green/Red
Green x2
Purple
Black

and god knows what colour a small link wire looks like it may be black

yup have all those they are all ok and in place and appear undamaged, the two cables attached to the switch are connected as well ive checked as far back as i can go and the loom seems ok.

Where are they, can you put a picture up?

Do you have a wiring diagram? If not I recomend you download Rave

For £10 might be worrth swapping out the switch if wiring looks OK - they can fail internally

Many of the problems with hazards and indicators turn out to be the hazard switch its self,just had to renew mine.[relay was ticking all the time even with indicators not switched on and hazard off]

okey well i replaced the switch cant belive ebay charge 13 quid for a switch!!

anyways i now have indicators that work

but!!

the only way i can get the hazards to work is if i flick the hazard switch on and either push the indicators up or down. if the indicators are set in neutral the hazards dont work.

the wires are below and from the test from the diagnostic page you guys have all work correctly except its not the purple cable its the green one that i hve to connect to. to get the indicators to light constantly.
