I don't understand it, she's serviced etc. a new MOT and today she just went "MAD".

"Gear Box Fault" and "Traction Control Fault" on the info panel.
Wouldn't pump up from "LOW" to normal ride.
On the Dash the RPM and SPedo needles went back to Zero.
Aircon Display blanked.

But she did not stop, but kept repeating this cycle of warnings and dashboard "Death". Did not want to pull away from a standstill either.

As I was due to take the family out for a longish journey I turned round and headed back for home and we jumped into another car.

Is this a connection issue and a common-fault or the beggining of the end?

Arghhhh. Just been made redundant so not looking for big garage bills either. :-(

Anyone else had anything similar?

All help gratefully appreciated.

Dan.

Get the battery checked and make sure it is charging before panicking

Ahhh that's the other message that popped up every now and then many weeks ago.....but then stopped appearing.

"Alternator Fault"

Closely related to battery indeed.

Will get them both checked out.

Ta.

yep, defo sounds like battery is low on charge and we all know how P38's hate low voltage.

Don't rush out & get a new battery yet until you have checked out the alternator fault as it's likely that the alternator fault is the reason why the battery is low - might be a cheapie solution
