I finlly got raound to fitting that atlantc british heater fan resitor upgrade.
I have to say that for the £30ish its a good bit of kit and does fix the common fan only blows on full problem in most classics, or in my case fan does what it wants and summit different on every type of air
Here are some tips:
rather than unscrewing the old resistor which has stupidly long screws in from each end with no access just smash it with a jockenese socket set and a long adjusting bar, or in my case a hammer and chisel
also they say just pull the plug through the bulkhead grommet and plug it in, er no more like pull the gromet out of the bulkhead never to fit the fooker back again and then cut both sets of wire off and splice together (which it says on the second sheet ie they realised most landies are fookers to work on it would never pull through.)
finally shrink your hands so they are like mini men as the wires arnt long enough and there is no fookin room
