Waterproof seat covers

Can anyone recommend a good front waterproof seat cover for my P38?

There are some universal ones at Halfords for £20 for a pair of fronts, reviews seem ok.

It's not recommended to fit seat covers if you have side airbags

If you're buying seat covers make sure they are the kind that have Velcro seams. This is so if your side airbag is activated the seat covers tear open and allow the airbag to deploy correctly.

Would have thought if the air bag can rip through the leather of the seat, the seat cover wouldent be a problem

The seats have specially designed seams which will burst open as the airbag deploys, but seat covers tend to lay in such a way that they prevent the airbag deploying correctly. That is why side airbag friendly seat covers use Velcro, it allows for the cover to tear open regardless of how they are sat and the airbag to deploy. The leather will be in one peace after a deployment. You could actually sow the seat back together if you wanted to.
