Got a leaking water pump:(

Going to replace and do timing belt at same time as due in a couple of thousand miles anyway.

What i need to know is how do i find out what sort of tensioner i have (manual or auto)

Car is a 2002 1.8k series on a 02 plate

Would like to have all the parts ready so i can do it on the same day rather than dismantle and then have to wait for parts to arrive.

Thanks in advance :)

I can only base this information on the MGF/TF which uses the same engine but the K series of this age in the MGF has an auto tensioner, only the VVC models had a manual tensioner - don't see why the Freelander would be different

Cheers for that also rang supplier with chassis number and they confirmed auto tensioner :)

Cheers for the video link HIPPO :D sadly my engine won't be on a bench, so it may take me a bit longer
