Water pump failure

Hi guys i have a 300tdi and about 6 weeks ago my water pump baring was squealing a little so i drained the coolant and changed the unit but after a few weeks it failed my 300tdi overheated and i had a grating noise coming from the pump i thought the baring again but under inspection i found that the impeller had fell off the shaft.
any way i ordered a new pump and fitted it and all was fine until 2 weeks later my land rover overheated and heard that grating noise again i took off the pump to find that impeller has fallen off too!!

any ideas why the impellers keep falling off the pumps the first pump was a briitpart and the second a bearmach part so they are 2 different brands?

any help would be appreciated as I'm getting sick of taking these pumps off lol
 
yes i agree its cost me more in 2 **** pumps than this unit there right what they say buy cheap buy twice rofl
 
i have just removed the pump to find my problem! a piece of metal the size of a stack of 8 5p pieces with a hole in the centre. it looks like it may be part of an old pump shaft.
i think this thing has been in the water system somewhere and jams up the impeller causing it to drop off the shaft strange thing is iv never seen this bit before but it looks well battered so its been in a long time
