Water leak from sump??????

i think you should try cleaning if orf abit then you might be able to see where its coming from

thats about right.. you might get a little bit of condensation in the sump but that would soon vanish after start up. certainly not enough to leak from a pipe

that is one of the things on my list but I have so many other things to do everywhere else I am struggling to find time. Also would it be ok to pressure wash it or should I use a steam cleaner if I can get my hand son one??

get something like 'GUNK' and brush it all over then give it a good pressure wash

To the right of the alternator and behind the dipstick tube there's a core plug, an Slobs right their there as part of the manufacture of the block.

An I'd put half my next lottery wins on yours not leaking. They used to go in winter in the old days cos anti freeze want as good as it is now an people didn't check it an things. Any how I'd put the other half of my lottery winnings on the fact that it int leaking water from the sump, It's running down to the sump from somewhere else. Cant remember what injun you've got so don't know about the tubes near the sump??? so do as Slob sez and gunk it spend a week sniffing yer injun an then have another look.

If there was water in your sump your oil would look like mayonaise pal, due to the oil keeping the water in suspension it will not separate like oil and water usually do.

Hello again, I haven't had a chance to de-gunk my engine yet but when my wife returned from a shortish drive tonight I went out and had a look and the water seems to be coming from what looks like a joint which has one of those core plug thingys. I may be completly wrong but it is hard to tell after a quick look but the whole area is soaking wet. I will try to de-gunk it soon and get back to you if you need more info to diagnose it.
