Hi all.
I have a 2007 sport 3.6, and I sometimes get a warning that there is " water in fuel ". I'm unsure why this keeps coming up. I'm currently in munich, Germany, it seems to only happen when it's in the is in the - temputure. Could this be the reason, frost in the fuel line or pump? Hows any one had this before, or have any advice.
Thanks

Might be water in the filter...Drain the filter ...Or cheep diesel without winter additive ,And it can wax ,or jell up at low temp ,bit like cooking fat, Some filter housings have a small diesel warmer some are electric some are warmed with hot water when engine warms up,might have failed if fitted;) or a faulty sensor .....

There will possibly be a moisture detector somewhere in the system. Possibly in the filter head.

If it's water in the fuel, you can get an additive to add to the diesel in the tank that will disperse the water.
It could also be condensation and bacterial growth in the diesel if you constantly run with a tank half full in winter.
