Hi,

Just looking for a little advice. Since the rains started in full I've noticed the drivers side footwell carpet is soaked. I've had a look underneath and had the carpet back but can't seen any obvious faults, ie a missing grommet. So it's obviously getting in from somewhere else and pooling there.

Does anyone know of any usual spots for water to get in or point me in the right direction to look at.

Any advice is much appreciated

hi im guessing youve got sunroofs then it will be the sunroof drain if you pop the side vent out on the osf wing then remove the rubber seal that goes on to the intake pipe theres some foam the otherside of it at the top of it put a hole in it also you should see a small rubber tube if its a cross just snip it untill its round then pour so water in the top of the sunroof drain cheers mike

Hi Mike, sorry forgot to add its a none sunroof model. It's an SE 2006.

I've got a similar problem with a wet passenger footwell. I've not checked yet but I'm told there is a big rubber grommet somewhere high up at the back of that footwell where the wiring goes through the bulkhead, and that this sometimes lets water through. From the engine side it is hidden behind / under the screen wash reservoir. (This is all second hand info, I've not checked any of it, but might help...)

Cheers mate, I had an idea it might be something up in the bulkhead/firewall but there was nothing obvious jumping out, but if it's hidden behind the washer bottle. I'll have a look tomorrow, see if I have any joy. Thanks again :)
