The warning lights for traction control, ABS, and hill descent have all come
on at once and will not go off: Disco V8i 2001. Car very recently
serviced, and cannot iumagine waht might have prompted these warnings.
Suspect electrical fault?

Any ideas on diagnosis / fix?

No point what so ever in trying to guess.

Plug it into a diagnostic machine and you will find out what the problem
is.

The three lights indicate a problem with the ABS system, and quite commonly
wheel sensors. Things you can check are your wheel bearings, if you have an
oscilloscope you can check the waveform from the wheel sensors, also with a
multi meter you can check for open circuit sensors. Beyond that, you are
looking at biggish repair bills. Sadly this is a common fault with disco
IIs. Did the disco get the abs ecu replaced under the recall?

Have a look at the copper bushes that hold the sensor in. Thet are
inclided to "creep" and put the sensor hight out. Often they can
be pushed back in and the height re-set - but it won't last forever.

I had this problem took it to dealer who put it on test book they reset and
told me the faults that showed up were 4 intermitent and probably occured in
a short space of time causing the lights to come on.,they have'nt returned
in 3 months.So fingers crossed!

Presumably you can take the vehicle to a LR dealer and ask them to run
testbook and report any issues (which you can then choose to ignore, fix or
leave with them as appropriate). Anyone any idea how much they would charge
for this?

I've had my local dealer do this before, but only as part of a warranty
issue or a "customer concern" element at service time, so I've never seen it
as an individual item on a bill.

Had these lights come on my D11 TD5,On test book it showed a fault with the
ABS sensor,if i remember correctly it was about £45

$70 here in Oz at the excellent Tony LoPiccolo Automotive in Richmond,
Victoria.

Good news (for me): nothing more than a very badly balanced rear wheel
that was upsetting the control system. Phew!!!!
