I have a problem with some of the warning lights on my '98 90 300TDI CSW. With further investigation it would appear that some of the bulb holders have gone rusty. I've bought new ones and fitted them, but the problem I have is that some of the copper on the printed circuit board has been worn away. I have found out that you can replace the printed circuit board for about £20/£25 but only on earlier models. On my model, it would appear that I would have to buy the whole warning light assembly at approximately £120. I know that the warning light layout differs between certain models but I'm just wondering if anybody else has had this problem and possibly tried one of the printed circuit boards off an earlier model and if so, does it work? Another option I have is to wire the bulb holders straight to the loom, or at least the ones that aren't working. I'd rather go down the route of replacing the circuit board if possible. Any feedback would be gratefully received.
