Hi, am relatively new on here, and I am looking (without a great deal of success at the moment) for a defender 90 hard top with swing back door.

Power steering and preferably 200tdi or later. With at least 6 months MOT.

Budget 2.5-3K, I am in Buckinghamshire and dont want to travel more than 80ish miles if I can hlp it.

Please can anyone help? I am looking at Autotrader website and ebay, are there any other good sites that I am missing? Or anyone on here have a vehicle they know of might suit me?

It will be my first landy, part work part hobby.

I'm looking for the same sort of thing but my budget is only 1K but willing to travel anywhere.

EDIT: Would go for a 2.5TD if the engine wasn't past it.

johnyoxford, you won't get a defender 90, without power steering or without a 200/300 Tdi as they all came like that.
the big P you won't get a defender 90 for 1k. sorry ( unless it's f**ked)
 
i just got what your looking for mate for 300 but it needs work. got it as a project. cant wait to get it on the road or field! :D

I can see how this could be true, as the 2.5TD and before were not defenders! they were 90,110,130 !

But talking of prices, - i was offered £1500 for my TD when it was nackered (before i had engine fixed, when the rear xmember was a pile of rust, and one of the break pipes had gone, the water pump was dead, and it would only get upto 50mph at the max)

So i think £1k is a little short - unless you want a rebuild job, and have a lot of time on your hands.

I have been offered >£2.5k for it now, but i want to keep it for the moment.
