No good if it is a budget job though ..
Just have a Google for Lucas A127 alternator, they are all pretty much the same left or right hand can be changed with just a few screws, the only real difference is if it has multi plug connection or the studs and nuts for the main power cables.
They are fitted to all sorts of old cars not just Land Rover

If you have an old one, easy enough to rebuild - tis what I do to mine now - got fed up with them being either broken from new, or delivered in bits
A127 is a very common alt - fitted on loads of perkins stuff - tractors / generators etc. ...
I thought it would be just as cheap to get another
What I did when a coil let go in SWMBO's, was, buy a cheapo off the bay - IIRC was a NAPA one, about £90, and then fitted a proper Hitachi reg to it, to make sure it wasn't frying the MFU...

my alt is kicking out nearly 16v
FFS! I've had all sorts of issues with regs, quite recently - fried the MFU in my D1 - think electric chair fried - found the voltage up at 19.4V...

Mid ulster rotating electrics have the spares for your alternator - BUT, i'd make damn sure you get the right regulator - it's par for the course now for regulators to allow rather silly voltages - like 15.3 ... and this will not do the relays and such any good on your RRC - if you have an MFU or an alarm, it will toast it nicely.. you can ask me how I know this too
I now use Hitachi regulators which limit voltage to 14.2, and, when they come off load - like when you switch your lights off, they drop the voltage instantly ...
And, yes, this has become something of a soapbox for me

If you have a decent DMM, measuring the AC voltage across the battery terminals should give you a good guide - ideally you'd want to see 5mV ... certainly no more than 15mV
If Mid Ulster can't supply the correct set point regulator, then www.buycarparts.co.uk - who are actually based in Germany should be able to. Assuming it's a Lucas Marelli A127x, then the reg will either be (Hitachi)130799 or 130820 - The rectifier is a Lucas 131304 ..
