Any one here had experience with vortec oil?

I’ve seen a few online landrover service kits seem to be supplying them

Never used it but there are only so many company's refining oil

Check the specs and if the specs right then will be

So long at it meets the ACEA code you need then it should be fine,
Ignore brand name, ACEA code and viscocity is all that matters.
Mannol from ebay seems decent.

Is there much in the way of counterfeit oil on eBay? Ie the cheapest brown stuff labelled up as something it's not?

I use mannol and it is great quality at a decent price.

I have eight engines on Mannol, none have blown up yet!
Cheap enough to change every 5k.

I would like to think not as the Financial implications for both sides would be noticeable

we've had counterfeit drugs in pharmacies (proven).. rules for them will be much tighter.. so i think anything goes
