Between the driving position and cramped interior I just can't see it working.
For comfort changing the seats is about all you can do, rear bulkhead removal for hardtop. As for interior upgrades I would consider a raptor console or similar but anything more is asking for trouble and would probably look a mess.
Carpet is probably a no-no as water eventually gets in all over the shop.
