hi all i am not new to internet chat i use that horrible site called fa-- --ok, think you all know the one, all my family go on, so its a good way of keeping in touch with what they are all up to. i am however new to this type of chat/forum site.
i own a 2000 mk 1 freelander, and yes i do like it no matter what anyone likes to call them, always wanted one so i got one. i am capable of repairing and maintaining it, which is good because the starter went on it so i re conned it myself, clutch slave cylinder bracket broke, so i made my own bracket and modified the plastic of the cylinder, works fine, ird bearings went so i replaced to relevant ones that had gone cured the water leak from the top of tailgate by replacing the plastic trim clips with solid bolts. took the prop off for summer running and plus to viscous coupling was w--ked, that is broken. this is my new project, to re con it my self and save an arm and half a leg in the proses. i have looked at some of the comments posted on the site here and i think this subject may have been covered once or twice, but anyway i do have to ask.......
has anyone had any luck with re conning the viscous coupling on freelanders:welcome2:
