Off down saarrrffff to pick up another 110 soft top for me! So wont get much done over the easter break. Picking up the hood sticks for her 90 whilst we are down there too. So then I can rip the roof off this and we can have his and hers heh.

Darn Sarff covers quite a bit of ground for you! you fitting a drop down tailgaite?

kent... going to be a llooonnggg drive

Im thinking i should fit a side opening tailgate, as the mrs is going to be using it with the kids in the back. Itll mean they can use the step i have fitted to help with their little legs.

Maybe get a set of those hinges that allow you to open it both sideways and drop it down?

Are there replacement bump stop mounts available for the rear which fit over the old ones? Rather than having to grind it all off?
Looking at the YRM ones but wasnt sure how wide they are.

Can you get it delivered through the courier service? might save some pennies

might take a while to strip it and post it in pieces

I dont mind a run out. Itll only be a hundred quid in fuel so not worth anything else...... maybe it should "break down" just round the corner from his house and require the aa to return it to my home........

Lol my uncle had a similar issue years ago when a prop fell off a transit he collected from devon, RAC ran him home no problems, luckily the bolts for the prop turned up a few days later

Does anyone know what the little shim part no is, that fits between the tubular outrigger and the seatbelt retaining bracket.

Looks a bit like one that spaces out earlier door catches but smaller.

Cant seem to find the part no, and i need several

I finished fitting the led indicators last night, and had the usual issue whereby they all come on like hazard lights, so whipped out the indicator tell tale - problem cured. Will fit a diode to stop this.

Hope to get the last bit of welding done this weekend... phew!

got a cr500 to rebuild, my zx9r needs back on the road and i started welding up the block on me TED20 as well

Oh and we are planning to move house as well... cumbria for a temp move lol

I wish I havd the space to own that amount of stuff I'm dying for a project currently but I'm moving to peak district once the solicitors extract their fingers so cant spend owt

Bonus is house were buying has a large single garage that's wide enough to fit me cbf1000 in and a vintage tractor so that will be one of the first purchases once house sorted

Mind you watched the james may re-assembler last night and i'm now watching several edwardian lawnmowers!

Have you seen that vid online of when a crew of men in ireland re-assemble a te20 in less than 12 minutes great to watch and all with hand tools as well

TED20 is my favourite toy, although it does get reguarly used as well. Its always wanting something doing though, just done a new fuel tap (£55 for a fuel tap!!!) and the block needs some more welding, cast iron welding.. urgh...my welder didnt like it the other day. Sodding thing. I want a backactor for it now though, "cos it will be handy"

Been into vintage stuff for years, sort of learned to drive on a 1970's DB 995 at the age of 11 and been hooked ever since! dont really do modern stuff if a vintage thing does the job just as well but with more style, if you think that's expensive try restoring old jap motorbikes! fuel tap for a 1983 gpz 750 comes to £75! only reason I've kept the moden honda is cuz it was my dads and was left to me, i'd love a royal enfield to go with it for pottering around the lanes.
me n mrs are sorting out the furniture for the house currently and we've agreed on an ikea ban on all furniture and i'd say nearly everything we've bought is edwardian or victorian to go in it and accept for a few modern tweaks in kitchen and living room

We have shed loads of old furniture, i do find it a bit irritating when nothing fits in the storage bits sensibly.

Worst old honda part ive had was a jiffy bag of 4 bits weighing less than a couple o' hundred grams for my cr500 - £500 at trade price! I about cried. Gearbix bits n bobs

So one of the trailing arm bushes was knackered and had to be replaced. The bolts holding the arm to the axle were seized solid so i had an idea.....

tied the axle up with a good strong strap....



and tied the other end to this.....


a good tug later and voila!!!



bastid bush would not come out.... until the persuader came out!

installation was the reverse, same technique, quick tug to pull it out and then "carefully" guided it back in.

Job done
