vibration/v c u test done/diff mount u/s

just done the vcu tippex test and props no longer line up, so ok there, fingers crossed!
on trying to turn the rear wheel with it jacked up i noticed the rear diff flexing way too much, looks like the diff mount is u/s, so off to change that..
tyres ..i have two new ones on the front and odd part worn on the rear.
have i read / heard that i would be better with the new pair on the rear??
just trying to stop the noise whilst drivin at speed!!!!

this is an old chestnut, with many different views, all listed on here. The one thing that runs through all of them, irrespective of whether you believe in new to front or new to back, is ALWAYS replace them in matched pairs on an axle.

The comment about odd tyres on the back axle raised a warning bell in my mind

New tyres should be fitted as pairs to the rear axle only , or 4 new one,s all round , avoid odd sise tyres . Why is the above important ? keeps VCU & IRD happy.

New rear diff mount fitted and tyres set to 32 psi all-round.....
sounds like a different car!! (well a much quieter one at least!!!!)

as an all round vehicle quite pleased with it, actualy took it out instead of the disco this morning!!
