Hi All.
i have a td4 2005 which has a vibration at low rev, between 1200-1600.
this vibration disappears under load , in gear or no gear selected, I've searched forums on this and read most of the freelanders have covered 40,000 plus , but mine has only done 12,000.

i agree with allan, seems low milage to have injector problems, but its a likley cause of engine vibration at low revs, (poor spray pattern of injector)

i would try a full dose of injector cleaner first,it might take a couple of tank refils before you notice the effect

good luck let us know how you get on

I've got a TD4 2001 with just 26.000 on the clock, and its always had a vibration point at around 1300 RPM, so much so that it rattles the gear change operating levers under the floor. If you hold the gear lever, its not so bad , but its still there, so obviously its the engine thats got a vibration point there. I took it back to Landrover and the mechanic agreed that it was there, we even tried a new TD4 and it did it too, but to a lesser extent, but then mine wasn't so bad when it was new, it seems to be increasing, but I dont know if the vibration from the engine is getting worse or the bits that its shaking are getting more worn. It passes through it and the car goes just fine, although its a wee bit annoying in traffic when your start/stopping.
