Noticed recently, there's a low frequency vibration in the top end range of 4th and the lower end of 5th. Any ideas?

Guessing it's likely to be the UJ's? If so is it more likely to be front or rear?
+ There's no noise/clunking when there is vibration, you can just feel it through the seats and see a bit of a shudder in the wing-mirrors.

Is it a particular speed? When my UJ's are ready for replacement the vibration is around 50 mph.
Just get under and feel them. I think my rear prop wears out slightly faster than my front, but I'm sure everyone's is different.

Yeah it's about 45-55mph under acceleration.

I'm gonna go and have a look at em this afternoon. Hopefully it's only UJ's and nothing more serious. Bit of a PITA to change them though.

Yeah it's the UJ on the axle end of the front drive shaft - got some play in it. Ordering some new GKN's now. Think it will be ok to drive or should I avoid?

How long's a piece of string!? Should be alright for a short while, if it still looks intact, but you can imagine the consequences if that UJ disintegrated and the prop hit the deck whilst driving!

I'm gonna play it safe and wait for the new UJ's to arrive. Hopefully Tuesday. Would insure the Disco V8 off roader for a bit but no MOT/Tax :-(
