very very stiff clutch

hi everyone, ive owned my 300tdi disco for around 4 months now and the clutch was stiff when i baught it, but now its very very heavy to press but goes into gear fine and dosnt slip. before i take box off and replace the clutch is there anything else that could cause this? thanks

anybody had this problem? could it be slave cylinder? or just the pressure plates?

The hydraulic side of the clutch would not give that problem, must be the clutch it self.
You could try lubricating the pedal pivot.

Probably clutch arm wearing through or thrust bearing is dry on the shaft.
