Hi to you all
Just finally got my dream land rover Defender 90 XS TD just having a bit of trouble with the alarm going off at nothing ? I posted this in the " introduce yourself" section earlier today and was advised to post my quiery in the right place, for a better response but since that earlier post I think I cracked it I put key in ignition turn till lights on then I turned ignition off and pressed the fob unlock 4 times now the red light is not on when driving like it did previously I hope this is correct please advise thanks again all the best wombal

Sounds like you did the right thing, wot you did re-synchronises the fob to the immobiliser / alarm system. If you have the owners handbook you can read up on fob battery replacement / resynchronising. And (car) battery disconnect / reconnect procedures. Hope you got the key number, EKA and radio codes with the car, and locking wheel nut key. You will need them all at some point in time. Just so you know, if you lock the car with the fob, unlocking with the key will set the alarm off.

Sorry if that came across some what like "yah what ever" I'm just so happy atm! Thankyou much appreciate your reply you have made me aware I need to find locking nut adapter all the best .
