Very frustrated

Good morning all, I am new here and a new Land rover owner so I am getting used to the car and it's issues.

Can you please advise what I can do when I am seeing the message "Transmission Fault" flash on the information screen? It does not stay long then disappears. This only happens at operating temp or 26 mins of operation.

Also I have a parking break auto release fault, I have recalobrated the gear selector which sorted the issue briefly but then it comes back again.

Welcome to the forum, but as you ought to have noticed this is the 'introduce yourself' thread, NOT a thread that many people watch with a view to answering questions.

If you post your question in a more relevant section someone will help, but include the simple stuff like which vehicle it is!! We ain't mind readers ..

Hi and welcome

Indeed post over in the discovery section

As a side note u will need to get a diagnostic reader plugged in, what ever u do DONT clear the adaption reset on ur gearbox

Plse , See what codes come back first , also what year and mileage is ur D3 and when was the ATF oil last changed

It is a 07 last oil change at 100k current mileage 104k.

This error only seems to happen once the engine has warmed up.

Hi , thks for the info

If u don’t mind me saying As it’s a 2007 plse ensure the oil pump cover was changed when the belts were done

Also assume this is an auto

Ref the error and oil change , was that the gearbox oil , as that may be low so after a while the error comes up , if there’s no record of the gearbox oil being changed is advisable to get it changed as there not sealed for life

due to the complexity of these vehicles a diagnostic would be the first thing to get done , otherwise ur only chasing ur tail

Have enclosed a picture of the gearbox so u can see how many items are incorporated with one another

Ps, if u do a thread in the discovery section more people will see this , there’s plenty of us here to help, so u don’t end up pulling ur hair out, lol

Also just thinking about this , have u ever seen a H come up or just the E symbol plse

The E means - CAN bus is off and transmission is operating in limp home mode.

When the E comes up does TRANS. FAILSAFE' also come up

H is overheat

If u turn the ign on and off does it clear the error , plse , thks
