Vented disks

I have a 1991, 110 Defender 200TDi.
Can I replace the solid front disks with ventilated and if so what all needs changed i.e. disks, calipers, shields, nuts, bolts etc. Will be doing highish mileage through Europe with a fair amount of weight and want the best braking.

most people say you dont need vented.

But if you are going down this route, you will need obviously a pair of vented front disks then you can either buy vented calipers or buy a kit to convert your existing calipers. pads, retainers and other bolts are the same.

the kit consists of longer bolts to hold the caliper together and the spacer.
