Vent Handles

hey folks,

In the ongoing saga of restoring my defender, I have these corroded vent covers. I can sand and repaint them but how the hell do you get the vent handle off? I can see the rest of it but there is no machine screw or allen fitting there. How do you get the damn thing off?

Ye don't, just remove the two bolts from the back of the cover if ye need them off...

or if ye need to get the levers off then it's a part strip down of the dash....

Aye it were ok that were boydy, it was in me last 3 motors. It were one o' them sony flip down things that looked like a puggy machine... good sound out of it anaw
