i thought if the car wasn't taxed or mot'ed and so long as it was insured you could legaly drive it to a pre booked mot center for work?

Is this correct?

bloody trailer hire fell through cos the bloke had double booked it and it's already gone out. Anyone in essex got a trailer i can hire or borrow for next weekend.

went to my local mot man and he said try it, insure it and drive it back so i've got the mot booked and going on sunday, i can't wait til sunday think i might take some sleeping pills so tomorro is sunday.

I got it back ok, other than filling up with oil about 3 times and it smoking and splashing out the back over my dad's car and drinking 55 quids of petrol. No police in sight. Oh well, gotta start the work now!

I dunno about that, all i know is it feels a bit wierd driving a rangie for the first time, thinking what the hells that banging from the back left every time i go over a bump, only to look the next time i stopped and find there's no shock rubber on the top end of the shock. Nice day out though, and i'm glad the wipers worked, that would've been a whole different ball game.
