I've written a few blog entries on how I converted by 300tdi to veggie oil along with my expience of blends etc... you can find it here.

also some stuff on my pre-heater can be found here.

tis easy enough to do, but the landy isnt best suited to run on pure veggie oil - especially when it gets cold.

pre heating is pointless as the IP imparts more than enough heat to the oil - those glowplug based preheaters take an enormous amount of current to keep running, and they dont last long - just add petrol to the tank when it's cold - but this is quite a retro topic these days and has been done a zillion time before on here

it's actually just glow plug based until the engine is warm, and yes they do help - even when blending. sorry for commenting on such a retro topic though Sean :blah: . I see no let up of interest if the number of question on my blog are anything to go by.

i've already done a conversion on the freelander wiv no problems and know how to convert the disco. my question is about the "ANTI FOAMING AGENT" in the oil as the stuff from tesco didnt ave any in
