...could have sworn there used to be a detailed write up in the tech section for checking and testing the fan..but I can't find it anywhere.

Am I being blind? Anyone got a link?

Also, is there a way to test the AC fans...such as with nanocom? Not sure they came on seeing my recent issues.

Not sure about the P38, but you can with nanocom on the D2 air con fan so I would hazard a guess you could..... HTH

Confirmed. No option in nanocom to turn them on.

Attacked the fan with a rolled up Aldi flyer...shredded it.

..removed cowling and can see on the far left of the radiator, red..and when touching it it's quite damp. Looks like a seal or seam has gone somewhere. So I guess that needs replaced! Shame as elsewhere it looks in decent nicks...quite new looking really!

What does it mean when the AC light flashes when you push the button? Never noticed that before. - ignore, means it won't get the desired temp without air-con on.

Next question, perhaps for another thread. Cheque book symbol has been coming and going for 2 weeks or so. Only fault was
(51) Solar Sensor Fault.

What does it do, and is it on the dash nearest the windscreen? Cleared it and it didn't come back..but still...

From RAVE.
Air conditioning on/off (A/C OFF) switch.Push switch
that operates the clutch of the refrigerant system
compressor.
• The switch LED illuminates to confirm that
the compressor is off (i.e. clutch is
disengaged).
• The inlet air source defaults to fresh air.
• The ATC ECU operates the remaining
functions to attempt to achieve/ maintain
the target air temperatures. If the ATC ECU
is unable to achieve/ maintain the target air
temperatures, the switch LED flashes for
10 seconds to advise the driver that the
compressor needs to be switched on.

• A second press of the A/C OFF switch
returns the compressor to automatic
control and extinguishes the LED.

But which child, specific age range or do you need to consider hand size?

Could ask the kids at wife's school to draw round their hands.

Can you also use feet if the test has to be repeated.

ALDI flyer you will upset Tomcatalan its his fav shop he normally advocates the use of the Sun rolled up only thing its good for:D:D:D
Morning Brian, Now't wrong with Aldi, got an pneumatic sheet steel nibbler from there before I went away, less than £14, 3 yr guarantee and it is a nice bit of kit. Flyer's are not man enough for fan testing, I see the Sun, spit spit, is now available with holes punched in each corner. You can now cut it in quarters, feed a piece of string through the hole's and use it in the sh1thouse so it has two uses. :D:D

Morning Alan, good trip nice to see you back, I like Aldi stuff but don't get to pop in there as much as I would like have got one of there two foot long led work lights best bit of kit out:)
