Hi you lot now i had chuffing from my rocker box with oil running out of my filler cap so im changeing the oil seals but the new ones on the exhaust valves seem quite lose around the valve stems so i cant see how they actually seal it not finished yet so ill see when im done and start it .

If you have chuffing out your rocker cover , changing oil seals is not going to fix it, its caused by piston blow by. What engine and what are you doing to it?

You will be wasting your time putting the head back on if you have it off(it is possible to replace stem seals with head on) The reason you have the chuffing and oil coming out is due to piston blow by due to either bore wear or rings gone . Have a look down bore and see if there is a step above where top ring stops at top of bore when at tdc. If yes then its bore wear. If no then rings are supect, could be stuck in esp if running on veg oil or mix HTSH

Running on regular derv and doing the seals with the head on so looks like next job is gonna be takeing the head of ay.

Don't bother.
You won't find out anything you don't now already know.

Live with it or fit a 200 tdi!

See the thread above and try fitting a catch-tank in the engine breather.
