Very sticky topic I know but having done some research it seems the prices of vehicles can vary greatly. Obviously only as much as someone is willing to pay and chassis, bulk head etc dependant.
I'm now doing 25 miles each way to work and it's not really fair on Betsy so regretably she needs to go to a new home. :(

She's a 1996 (N reg) Defender 110 12 seater County Station Wagon 300TDi, 121k miles. Good condition for for age, solid chassis. Full service history to 89k, then serviced by myself and local garage. Will get a full years MOT on her but wondering what she's worth really.

Can supply further information if required but happy to hear what people think she might be worth. Lots of different prices on eBay etc and don't really think they sit in the glasses guide too easily.

Last question - should I sell the alloys seperately and put back steel rims back on? Can't see there being much difference in price if I kept them on?

Any help or advice (on where to sell etc) greatly appreciated).

Thanks

Daniel

Fair point (and good to check out profile). Will take some pics when I get her back and put them up if OK. She's getting a new lift pump tomorrow so in garage tonight.

Thanks

Daniel

Here we go (finally). Pics here, more to come at weekend if anyone wants to see more. Will get a full years MOT if anyone wants.

Any suggestions or thoughts welcome

Dannyboy

That piece of string could be anything from £3k - £5k long!
(Keep an eye on the weather - and sell when/if the snow returns!)

Why unfair? coz she needs to be used more? or coz she struggles with doing 25 miles?

Ebay isnt the best place to sell a landy, Phone around some of the independant dealers
I got 2 1/2 K for an 89 110csw ok it was mint condition but still had the old TD engine and 140 +K miles, that was a trade in so you never get full value for one that way

A private sale is always gonna get you more money than selling it to a dealer though. And they'll pay over the odds on a trade-in if you're spending more money with them!

I didnt spend much more money with him so ther was no reason for him to give me a good trade in, Most garages i have traded cars in to before have always given me the book price for the model nothing more. In fact the guy who got my 110csw was so happy with how it did at the market when i went back a few weeks later to get some spare he let me have them for nothing. So he must have made a killing

I'd try Pistonheads and £5995 to sell. If you fancy a haggle then put it in for £6750. Best engine, best colour (for year) and a county spec. It will sell easily providing it's a nice example, which is never easy to tell from photos.

I agree. Looks like 6K +- to me. I think Instantsquid is looking for a bargain. I'll have it for £3,500 and you can shag me wife too:eek:

Hi,
Work in Newbury and live in Abingdon.

I see it as a bit unfair as it's not really a vehicle that's designed to be driven up and down a dual carriageway.

I think it's time for something a bit more in line with the mileage I'm now doing. Also, isn't really working so well on the diesel bill front for me so time for a change.

D

Doors, bulkheads and seats all good. Had covers on most of seats so no issues there. PM me if you want info.
