value for money?

Hi

I have been offered a 1992 defender 200tdi rebuilt on a galv chassis[to county spec] with 60,000 miles on the original engine .the condition is excellent but the price seems a little high at £7500.

what do you think?

Is it a genuine county or a modified van? Just remember 7.5k is the pre-haggle start price!

From your above description I'd say 6.5k is a good price, 7k alright and 7.5k it would have to be near mint. 60k miles and galv chassis are good selling points!

If the rest of it is good and genuine its worth a haggle, but would need lots of original paperwork to prove its the real deal and not a bitsa
