One by one, I'm sorting out the niggles on my recently bought 1996 4.6HSE.

At slow speeds, the steering seems slightly vague and lots of very minor corrections are needed to keep it in a straight line. I'm thinking steering damper. Would the symptoms be similar?

Check the following - Tyre pressure
- Same make of tyre on the wheels as can be differences by makes with hard soft compound giving slight differences to profile due to side wall bend.
- Get wheel balance checked
-Wheel allignment checked

Also what size wheels have you on it as bigger widder wheels can tram steer.

good luck

All good advice as these will be cheapest to remedy and I can start here and worry my way up the expensive stuff in stages.
