Hi

Quick question (yes I've done a search but cannot find what I'm looking for exactly) I've recently replaced my alternator, all is good with a healthy 14v. However, today I lost servo help in the brakes department. I've disconnected the hose to the servo, and there is no vacuum present. I've not got an EGR, so there is just a hose from the new vacuum pump straight to the servo. My question is, does that vacuum pump provide vacuum for anything else?

It should only be coupled to the brakes and EGR, if the EGR has been removed then you either need to seal off the tee connection which goes to the EGR or replace the hard green pipe with one which has no tee in it.
I measured the vacuum I mine recently connecting a gauge into the tee and saw -0.27 bar at tick over when you press and hold the brake pedal the pressure increased to 0 falling back to -0.27 very quickly not sure if this is correct or not need to see if anyone else has tried it.

i think my new part must be faulty. the T piece is blanked , the egr was removed thousands of miles ago.
