Hi,
My RRC has come back from having some work done and I have real problems with some of the vaccum hoses.

Can anyone tell me where the vaccum hose that comes off the throttle assembly goes to? At the moment it goes nowhere.

Also, there is what seems to be a vaccum hose that comes out through the bulkhead on the drivers side - but this is hanging also? Where is this supposed to go?

Thanks!!

Sounds like the pipe through the bulkhead is the cruise control pipe to the Brake pedal switch which vents the system and cancels the cruise control.
The second is probably from the bellows or Tee piece, again Cruise control related.

Sounds like the vac lines for cruise control. The one from the bulkhead should rise and join on a "Y" piece. The one off the throttle body I think is also linked into the hose from the brake pedal. Give me a few minutes I'll go pop the bonnet on mine and take a quick look.

HI - thanks for the help and pics.
The one pipe does join the T piece and then on to the Vac Pump. The thing is that where in joins the T, the second leg goes to a pipe which in unconnected?

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Can you post a pic or two?

If I understand what you are saying - the pipe from the bulkhead joins a T piece. The pipe from the throttle linkage is not connected, but the pipe from the vac pump is connected to the T piece. So simply connect the hose from the throttle to the T piece.

Unless we are not talking about the cruise system.

HI,
Sorry - the pipe coming through the bulk head isn't attached to anything - just hanging. I'v ehad a good look around and can't find a T for it to go into.

The pipe from the throttle bellows runs along to a T piece along on the N/S/F inner wing. From the T, one pipe runs to the vacuum pump like it should, but the other side of the T is not connected to anything - just a length of hanging pipe.

V confused!

Right, so the vac pipe from the brake switch is not connected. The pipe from the bulkhead should run across the front of the engine and into the T piece that joins the cruise control bellows and the vac pump.

If you look at the first picture I posted, that shows all 3 pipes connected just on mine I've got a Y piece instead of a T.

Has your cruise control never worked? Or is it the case the pipe has been recently disconnected?

Hi,
Everything, including the cruise was fine until just recently when I got a local garage to do a head gasket. They just haven't finished and probably haven't a clue!

Think I have it sorted now - thanks to your pics.
Really appreciate your help and time! Going to give it balst up the road to se if this has it sorted!!
Thanks,
W
