Will need to change these before the next MoT, but of course they are unobtainable. Can anyone suggest how to get replacements made up complete with connectors for the tank (feed and return), fuel filter, and the engine end. Should I also ask in the RRC forum as I'm guessing the parts would be the same for the 3.5 injection?

There is quite a good write-up on this site, on how to do it. I'm thinking of doing something like this myself soon as the fuel filter is so rusty trying to rmove it will undoubtably result in the pipes breaking.

Thanks Jason, that's interesting, however the article doesn't show clearly how they attached the new rubber pipes to the metal ends and the filter. So I called a friendly specialist who told me that they cut the lines where necessary and replace with double layer hose and fuel hose clips (which is fine for MoT purposes). The system is not high pressure until it reaches the injection system.
