12 round town, 26 on a long run with Disoc or Rangie gearing. Less than that with standard defender T-box/gearbox.

well if yer wannado extreme winching sprint events then go fer the V8 but if yer just a normal chap doing greenlanes and pay an play then it probably won't make the slightest bit of noticable difference.

Tdi better at getting wet. V8 better at most other things (like heating the cabin).

Git a V8 (efi) & an LPG conversion & you'll git comparable pence per mile as a Tdi.

Don't worry about the MPG, just put down foot down and hear that V8 and it masks the sound of all the spent pounds that have just blown out the back of the exhaust lol

I had a 110 with a 3.9 V8 on LPG, and on short trips (10-20 miles) only got 9 mpg. Even on LPG, it was way too expensive for me to run, as I was hoping I would get at least 15 mpg. I absolutely loved driving it, the sound was immense, but I just couldn't enjoy it knowing how much it was costing me to run. I've now gone back to Tdi power.

i went laning in north wales on saturday in my V8 3.5 efi disco.... averaged about 15 mpg for the whole trip. Just everyday use i am getting about 18. On a run, about 23.
Its about twice as much as i was getting from a V6 shogun that i had for all of a month or so.. that really was ****e..
