Further to my previous thread......it seems that I am not getting any fuel through. Awaiting delivery of new filter, but today set about looking at the pump. It does make a sound when turning on ignition, I took off the fuel pipe (feed out not feed in) and when trying to turn over nothing is coming out. Took out whole pump all looks ok and it does vibrate and sound when turning over, but still nothing pumping out (all be it air at this point as not submersed in tank). My question is could anything else be causing this before I go and spend hard come by cash on a new fuel pump as I don't wish to do this and find it was something else causing the problem? Its a 98 model EFI with plenty of petrol in the tank.
Thanks in advance.

easy way to tell if it is feeding fuel through get a container doesnt need to be too big but it cant melt with petrol in it, put some petrol in the container with the fuel pump and make sure you cover the hole in the bottom of the sender then mark the container with a marker and the try to turn the engine over and you will be able to tell if its working for it should be pumping the petrol through and the fuel line will go down

HOPE that helps

Thanks for that, I shall give that a go in the morning, if the cable is long enough to allow me to put it into a container :)
Will let you know, but guessing if it is not doing this in the tank then the result may be the same.
Regards. Rick

So I have it in bits, the motor on the pump is working, I get good suction on the hole on the bottom when I put my finger on it, but rather than the fuel coming up the pipe, it is coming out of a small hole about the size of a match to the side of the connection for the out pipe. Any clues?
