Ok, see if any of you guys have any ideas on this one;

On my defender 110 v8 (twin SU carbs, electric pump with return fuel line), starts rumbly but picks up ok, when warm runs ok but on going around a corner coughs, takes a few seconds to come back but then runs fine till the next corner.

This happens either direction of corner, and doesnt seem to matter how much fuel is in the tank.

Convinced myself its fuel, but not sure whats going on

Any ideas would be great, its doing my head!

Cheers, pete.

Hi

sounds to me like a carb fault as apposed to fuel, the rumbling when cold sounds to me like choke hights, these should be set to .50'' (or a hacksaw blade thickness) what needles are you using in them? what condition are the needles in at the end, have they gone rounded? could be float hights thats giving the problem, take dashpots off the top with needles inside, (3 screws on top) measure needle seat hights with vernier and set accordingly, (both should be the same or as near as damn it) failing that contact burlen fuels in sailsbury!
