V8 Alternator Belt

Ive managed to snap the V belt on my lightweight all ready! :doh:

Turns out the 3.5 V8 came out of a Rover P5. Now, It runs over 2 pulleys on the engine and the one on the alternator. Is one of the engine ones likely to have been a fan? (its got a Kenlowe now) and does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Dont know if it should be called a fan belt or an alternator belt now.

My neighbour had some thing like that in his kit car.
One belt did the PAS.The other as you said the alternator.
He did away with the standard fan and pulley. (used elctric fan).
Used a piece of string to measure the length of it and went to the local motor factors and got one to fit.
Hope the above helps.

His engine was out of a Rover p5b.

I took it to a local motor factors today and they matched the size. but its a bit wider. I think it will work so will try it tonight.
