V5C D.2 Type + Variant / Version details

Hello all, this is my first post!
On my V5C form for a 'Defender 90 County TD5', the detail for 'D.2 Type' is blank. The detail for Variant is B8 and for Version is 027.
I need to know what should be in the space left blank as I'm trying to register this vehicle in France and this piece of information is required. Any info would be welcome.

If you are trying to register a vehicle in France you will require "Attestation d'indentification pour véhicules importés conformes á un type national français" which you will get from Land Rover Paris. The last one I bought 4 years ago cost 180 euros. This gives all the information the Prefecture will require, in French. You will also require a "Certificat D'Acquisition/impotation from the local tax office, to show no French VAT is payable. Keep copies for yourself, including the V5 form, which the French are supposed to keep and send back to Swansea.
When all is done make sure you get an acknowledgement from the DVLA that the vehicle has been exported. Don't just rely on sending the V5 slip.
