Using Tiger seal

Before i buy some Tiger Seal, the blinking vents are leaking again i have put a load of flexible maritime putty on the inside of the vent flaps refitted and hammered them down!! They no longer move! when tipping a watering can around the seal it still lets in WTF!!
So plan B is to leave putty in place and run a bead of Tiger seal around in the gully that the vents sit in and seal them up for ever!
Will Tiger seal do this?? or is it more of a bonding agent??

You could just fit some new seals and get them working properly???

put new foam seals in less than six months ago no good! hence the putty!

just don't want the frigging bulkhead to rot it just does my frigging tits in! Anyone fitted the old rubber type seals? On a Defender?
