Sounds like a plan ive just applied for my renewal PP on Saturday, (90 quid) I could have done it cheaper
on line so im not a tight ar$e :p Im thinking of taking some time off & hiring a motorhome for a few weeks.
So from here it would be heading down south through Wales then over to Ireland to see my Bro :)
I wanted to hire a floating bus to mooch through the canals but iv been mega busy this season so hopefully next year.
The weather here has been mince to say the least & its been raining for days here.:(

Fishguard to Rosslare is a rough crossing, done it several times when I lived over there, I'm thinking about hiring a motorhome for next year and doing a trip to Portugal, I love to drive and driving to your destination is part of the adventure :) Not sure I could do a barge, especially not with the little one

Weather has been rough all "summer" terrible really but it is always changeable.

I don't mind rough, I work on boats & service moorings in the winter in all weathers :(
I was looking at buying a property in Portugal so a holiday is on the cards at some point. Ive just bought a Sankey bdr trailer to kit out for expedition camping (to keep me busy over the winter) so just need a reliable motor  lol
Loads of people have kids & do boaty things but I don't I would relax.

"Barges" are easy peasy! I did it with just myself and partially disabled wife (Canal du Midi), after various others in both Frogland and England. Remember everything happens relatively slowly and you soon learn how to do locks and throw ropes. Just make it clear to all on board that the only brake is reverse!

I might have a trip up to you if you still have breakers n fill the hilux with d1 bits n pieces! You anywhere near arrochar?

Arrochar is about 15mins drive ;) My breaker is going away this week it was supposed to be gone last week:rolleyes:
what are you needing, the way my D1 is going I feel like breaking that lol

Random stuff! I need the bolts for the rear boot ( I have two in each at the mo so need 4 I think). All the black gutter trim, a rear boot door seal and probably a few other bits. Need to write a list!

Gutter trim & seal are in my shed I will pull off the bolts be quick with the list as its ment to be going away this week ;)

Just go for those now if you could please! They’re what I definitely need. The glass seal is dead on boot too but that’s a bit of effort for you to remove
