upsetting the neighbours

My bloody alarm keeps going off for no reason only started 2 days ago never done it before, 2000 td4 neighbours starting to moan has any body got any idea thanks

Try using the search facility on this forum as I'm opretty sure this has been covered here recently.

In the mean time, if it is happening regaulrly, try key locking the vehicle (turn the key twice in the lock for "super locking") rather than using the remote fob. If the alarm still goes of it is a problem with the perimetric alarm rather than the volumetric alarm.

One of ours did this a few years back ... traced it to a spider living behind the rear view mirror. Big bugger. Wife took it out but wanted to keep it as a pet. I got her a puppy instead.

would be looking to check your main battery, as a quick and cheap (usually free) first port of call. not just a voltage test, but a discharge test. many a battery looks fine with a good voltage, but has poor capacity, which can only be revealed with a discharge test.

Mine done ths 2x last Thursday night at midnightish.
I left it open all night and switched it on again in the morning before I went to work
Kept it on all weekend while I was away watching the champions at OT
Wife said it never went off once
Don`t know what caused it
