Is it just new heavy duty springs :)

I have a 1994 110 high capacity pickup that I intend to tow a 3500kg trailer with, the extra 450kg would come in handy so I was thinking of uprating to 3500kg, has anyone done it, I believe it's just springs, a VOSA inspection and a new weight plate, is that correct.

any advice and tips on where to buy the parts would be appreciated

If you rephrase that so we can understand you might get more takers.Or try a search ,towing capacities have been discussed at length before:)

sorry when I read it back it doesn't make much sense.

My 110 pickup has a gross vehicle weight of 3050kg

I want to uprate it to 3500kg what do I need to do

You're vehicle has a GVW of 3050kg. With it, if you're licence allows it, you can tow 3500kg. Now, what don't you understand?

they are 3500kg anyway are'nt they?,just had a look at log book for my 90 and its 3499kg gross weight

mine is a 1994 , they might all be 3500kg now but then they were 3050kg or 3500kg, on the plate mine says
1 3050kg = GVW
2 6550kg = Train weight

I want to increase it to
1 3500kg
2 7000kg

From the limited infor i've found it's just uprated springs and a VOSA inspection, I just wanted know if anyone had done it and if it was that simple, I searched on here but didn't find anything

I think youve answered your own question !Not a vast job but seems like a lot of aggro for 450kg.Springs are cheap and easy swop. Most try and avoid VOSA if they can.

mines a 93 k reg, bearmach do all different grade springs,i would have thought some stronger shocks along with springs would make it more stable, terrafirma do a shock called "big bore expedition",they designed specifically for heavy laden expedition vhiecles
