update to fip problem

HI, well to update you all, new timing chains fitted, recon injectors,recon fuel inj pump, hydraulic tappets replaced, new sump gasket and all other things needed after going in through front of engine to check timing chains .. well everything rebuilt oil,water full battery turned over 6-7 times and it fires up rattles like hell on tickover untill oil gets every where, then started to rattle like hell again, now Im not sure if these engines are prone to piston slap or not, but other symptoms are light blue smoke coming out of exhaust when reved,( probably rings)but it knocks all the time, so rechecked fip timing with new chains fitted set at 0.95 , bang on rebuilt and started same knocking and slapping sound, Iam now thinking sod it strip the damn thing down mic up big end bearings and piston boreas well as little ends and rebuild......... any thing Ive missed apart from a gallon of petrol.????? sorry its the 2.5 bmw lump.
