Hi Folks new here so hi to one and all : )

My problem is as follows
Vibration through motor most noticable in 3 rd gear
Anyways been searching for the source and think i've traced it to the front near side ERM its either a bearing or universal joint the bit inside the CV joint
Can turn the front diff about 90 degree's to the left with front prop disconnected and the wheel on the floor
My question is can i replace the universal joint bearing thing without buying a complete drive shaft
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

My motor is a Discovery m reg 125k manual

i presume you mean prop shaft??

You will need to remove the prop shaft in order to change the UJ. you will also need a pair of circlip pliers, a good sturdy vice, a flat blade screwdriver, a 9/16th spanner to remove the nuts holding propsaft on , a hitting stick (hammer), and a grease gun to grease up the new UJ once its fitted.

Oh and lots of patience
